A new puzzle by Will. 🦕 me--I think you will enjoy it.

Puzzle #76: Count Off Into Teams
Difficulty: Hard
The answer to this week's meta are things in the news this week.
No Googling required.
Crosshare link: https://crosshare.org/crosswords/QSQdvx ... into-teams
Another timely theme for this week! Although this one will definitely be a bit tougher after such a softball last week. If you need a hint, you know how to reach me (just reply to this email).

The deadline for this puzzle is 9:00am eastern time on Sunday, January 8th, 2023.

Happy solving!
Cheers,
Will

I’m out of the box! Nice one. I wasn’t sure “No Googling required” would apply to people like me, but even I did not have to google anything
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Thanks Barbara. If you mean what I think you mean, that gives me SOME hope. I'm not seeing it just yet, though...

It took some work, but it doable - I would rate it about week 3.5.

Wow! Very fun. I have never constructed a meta puzzle, but I am really amazed that you were able to pull this off.

What a clever construction! I woke up this morning and all of a sudden there was the metanism waiting for me. And can confirm, no googling was required. This one is well worth the effort to solve.

nice nudge from Will, elegant and very "Gaffney" esque.

That's 2 of 3 this weekend, Gaffney's Patreon one is still eluding me.
