Ashore before 2023!! Didn’t have time to look until today. Turns out I had the right mechanism but didn’t think it worked until ergcat told me to try again. I don’t know how I missed it the first time! 🤪 Raising a glass of champagne! Happy New Year everyone!! 🎇🎆🥂

On shore, I hope. Solid on the meta, but have a slight quibble with the answer so we’ll see if I’m missing something. Happy New Year to all!

I sat yesterday with Isaac watching my beloved Meeeechigan Wolverines squander their opportunity to go to the college football national title game. As the final play ran I said “Bartender please, fill my glass for me… with the stuff you gave Jesus that set him free after three days down.” As he filled my glass in all his wisdom Isaac wisely said “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, just a dream away” reminding me that we will soon be on a flight to the happiest place on earth.

This morning I woke up ready for that journey, and hit the treadmill for a quick New Years 5k. Then after I took one last look at the puzzle, and it hit me. The first part to finding the answer was clear! I ran downstairs and shared my finding with Kasia, who then figured out the final leg of the answer.

We are now both ashore sipping morning coffee, awaiting our drink later on.

Happy New Year everyone!

I got the best of both worlds - NYE with Isaac (who became somewhat unruly and even more entertaining after too much champaign), and now a nice relaxing New Year's Day on the beach! Don't know how I missed something so obvious yesterday, but happy 2023!

You know... there' will be something very meta about the responses people post an this thread.

Anyway, here's hoping every-one and has a marvelous and fortuitous 2023!
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

‘‘Twas the eve before Christmas 🎄
Swain came to see me
In my office, looking dreamy
Clad in the kind of attire 🕺
To which younger men can only aspire

Finally the work of the world was done
Someone was planning a little sun
On a Caribbean island 🏖️
I said, “have fun!”

I know you will share my elation
Amidst the new years celebration
I didn’t yield to temptation
Swain and spouse are on vacation🏝️

In my life he’s a minor blip
I just think I’ll take a sip
Of this wine here, coloring my lip 🍷
All I said was, “have a safe trip!”

If you ever lose you heart ❤️
Make sure first you truly know ‘em
You can never be too smart
Bang it out in a moody poem

Looking forward to a better year
Much less nonsense, far less fear
Ringing in the new year with good cheer 🎊🎉🍾
And real friends whom I hold dear

Very Happy new year Muggles!!
I know we all have our struggles
But from my family to thee
Happy 2023

Finally ashore after a fun NYE with Isaac. Thankfully, the actual mechanism and solution was much more satisfying than the crazy scheme I concocted while LAS. Credit to @ship4u for gently nudging me away from my Bermuda Triangle to the correct current, which I rode to shore.

Happy 2023 to all of you. Salut!
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

I kept searching back and forth for the solution this morning and finally realized it's only Sunday... I think this means my vacation is successful.
