Does it count as a Kangaroo word if I can extract (the fitting) RAMBLE from that?

Cap'n Rick wrote: Mon Nov 21, 2022 7:39 pm I was a little too young to attend the original Woodstock (age 7), but I did go to the 25th anniversary celebration in Saugerties, NY in 1994. I hitched a ride with 6 young women in a Winnebago - one of whom eventually became my wife! There were an estimated 250,000 attendees, and it rained all 3 days. Good times and good memories.
Oh it rained at the original Woodstock as well. A very muddy weekend. But the music …….well you know.
We did a 50th Woodstock anniversary concert at Utica's beautiful Stanley Theater in 2019. This is one of the songs; my brother Mark is singing (I am -- to no one's surprise -- next to the ladies).

Al, in your your youth, did you play much softball? In mine I played on and managed numerous teams. We had an unwritten rule: Play your best hippies in left-center and right-center.
I answered your question in the comments section of Crosshare. Anyone curious? Guess you'll have to solve the meta to see! (spoiler: We had a *lot* of fun in our softball leagues).
Take heart, Al. Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter in that state.

I haven't cracked the meta yet but I thought I would note the irony that this song is also iconic for Gen Xers because its chorus is screamed sarcastically at the beginning of the Nirvana song "Territorial Pissings."

I was not at Woodstock. But I was at the Newport Jazz Festival the year before the riot.

Off the couch :) Was too young to make the trip to Woodstock. I think my first concert was when my mom took me to see Johnny Cash - probably in the early 70s.

Well, I learned what you enter in Crosshare makes a difference. I added an embellishment that Crosshare didn't like yesterday. I am now officially off the couch!

Happy Nudge Wednesday and Thanksgiving Eve! Here's what the chef is serving up today:

Besides its call for unity, the title can also be applied to grid entries

There are seven such entries, symmetrically placed

Remember that old show, Fractured Phrases? This one might have been on there: "Ewe, toucan get tough thug; ouch!"

Everybody got together on the couch so I eventually got nudged right off. But shouldn't have needed the nudge :confounded: Good one - thanks, Al!
