"It Takes Two"
Ahoy Muggles!
I'm very happy to be back with another MMM meta! This puzzle is a little different from my earlier ones for a couple of reasons. One, the grid is larger - 17x17 instead of the usual 15x15. And two, while you shouldn't need Google to complete the grid, you may very well need it to solve and/or confirm the answer. Alternatively, like the title suggests, you could team up with a friend, spouse, or one of your fellow Muggles and pool your meta-solving resources. Sounds like fun, right?
Speaking of teams, every puzzle I create is a team effort, and I'm very fortunate to have some awesome teammates including @Abide, @Al Sisti, @boharr, @whimsy, @MarkWoychick, @DrTom, and @Joe Ross. Thanks, guys!
The meta answer is a fitting two-word phrase.
"It Takes Two" - Crosshare
"It Takes Two" - PUZ
"It Takes Two" - PDF
"It Takes Two" - Spreadsheet
If you enjoy solving on Crosshare, help keep the site running by donating a few bucks.
Difficulty:
Since some Googling and/or buddy-solving may be required, I'll rate this one "A Bit Choppy".
Nudges are here.
Reveal is here.
Good luck!

I believe I'm off the couch!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Well, I know what it has to be.
But I have no idea what it actually is; just what it has to be.

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Thanks for the comment, @woozy. I was beginning to think that there was a technical problem and that my post had only reached Australia!

Fun one Cap'n. Cool meta. Thx.

There's a golf course not far from where we live that's exactly like that!Al Sisti wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 12:17 pmThankfully, @benchen71 wasn't golfing when it came out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWmlJkLbm4gCap'n Rick wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 12:00 pmThanks for the comment, @woozy. I see something, but I'm worried it's a rabbit hole! Time will tell!
Smooth, refreshing grid, but let's see about that meta!

This one is turning out to be a little more difficult than I had expected. Per the Muggles forum and Crosshare we've had roughly 100 grid solves but only 22 meta solves including 6 Test Solvers. It's a little early for "Nudges", but maybe I can help a few folks by stating what's NOT included in the mechanism - a reverse Nudge (egduN?) if you will.
Good luck, and please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

This couch was so far from my wheelhouse that extensive searching was required just to find it.
But now, after locating said sofa - I'm off!
Thanks for the puzzle!
