MGWCC #754 - “Urban Planning”

An excellent puzzle written by one of the innovators of the meta crossword format. It comes out every Friday at noon and increases in difficulty throughout the month. Available for modest subscription (worth every cent) here: www.xwordcontest.com

I tried to do the grid downs only - not a chance; not even close.
Tried to do the meta without instructions. Got closer with that; saw much of what I needed and should have been able to figure out what to do with it. Maybe if I'd given it more time, I would have, but I didn't. Went ahead and read the instructions and found the beam up coordinates.
Fun puzzle!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Beamed up! No way could I ever do one of these downs only or without instructions.

I was out and about all day, so I didn't start until close to midnight. Grid was a bit challenging in spots but I should beam up with the next update. Definitely a 100%er and most definitely fun!

Not confirmed but 99% or better sure. Fun puzzle, and at least I got one this weekend. Still struggling with WSJ
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Submitted. 100%er, if you follow the intended meta path.

Ok I don’t have to check the board because this is a 100%er and I am simply in awe. I was stumped for a bit and then thought “oh no he could not have!” And yet he did. Sheer genius.

Stay well all

Once again, I'm like, "How does he even see these things??"

A late “Aha!” moment, but a “Aha!” moment nonetheless.

I’m embarrassed to say I’m stuck. I think I locked onto a rabbit hole that had a bear trap inside it and it won’t let go of my arm.

Edit: never mind! Figured it out. Holy smokes.

I have what I can only assume to be the first step, but then I am stuck; I swear the week 2s keep getting harder. Reaching out for a gentle nudge.

EDIT: I have received a nudge and will attempt to decipher what I’ve got.

Beamed up. That's about as difficult of a puzzle as I can handle. WSJ was way too hard for me this week.
