Every year we hold a Veterans Day service at 11:11 a.m. Nov. 11 at an abandoned African American graveyard where several Black Union soldiers who fought in the Civil War are buried. This was last year's ceremony.

Embarrassingly, the only reason I knew of one of the grid entries was because of Grease the musical (it's cut from the movie version): "I can't explain, Rydell, this pain, Rydell, is it ______ Rydell gave me?"

On the beach! Time for a G & T!! (Not literally, unfortunately, since it is not even 9am in the morning here in Australia, and my year 10 Physics class might not think it appropriate for their teacher to be sipping cocktails - even if it is a Friday!)
