Sorry for the delay. My daughter's three way remote controlled dimmer switches are closer to being done but not over the goal line. And then I was so bored by the Pats/Colts game that I fell asleep. If you want to see offensive ineptness, check out the stats from the game.

It looks like things are starting to align well for Dawgs nation. Great win and great time at the game yesterday. And thanks LSU.

Am I the last one ashore? Happy to be here. It really did take me all weekend to solve it. I made it way too difficult (thought I saw something that wasn’t there), and couldn’t back out of the rabbit hole. Finally realized I was the only one with Isaac again and changed my focus. Good luck all.

On shore, but late reporting in.

The once was a puzzler named Matt
Who created metas so _____, that
His fame is now trending
You all know the ending
Matt wears more bling, Lil Wayne phat.

There may be a limerick lurking in there.

On shore! Didn’t have time to look at the meta until now but thankfully got it rather quickly.

Whew! I made it ASHORE just under the wire. I filled in the grid on Thursday night, but that was about as far as I got. Daughter, granddaughter and I had a fun four days together while the men folk were away on a hunting trip. I didn't return home until this evening and just finished unpacking a little while ago. I decided I'd look at the puzzle quickly before heading off to dreamland and was shocked that the first thing I tried gave me the answer. Thanks, Matt!

Whew! I snuck in just before closing time. I was making it way too difficult.

I didn’t catch the “inelegance” some people were talking about, so now I’m worried I submitted the wrong answer because what if I used this inelegant thing and got a different solution. It’s playing with my mind, I tell you.

Oh well. Too late to turn back now.

Any-one else bugged that ReES-ES also ends with a double bigram. I mean.... Matt is certainly clever enough to avoid that so why didn't he?
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

All I can think of is that Matt didn’t notice it. It would have been simple to avoid by clueing 57D as fragrant organic compound (ESTER) and 69A as seasonal actress on the O.C. (Reeser —Autumn Reeser).
