In today’s puzzle, how ‘bout that 43D!:) I loved it but did wonder if any non-pilots have a clue what VFR is.

I avoid running into things by looking where I’m going

VFR brought back fond memories of my Dad studying for his instrument rating! Our coffee table was always piled high with Jeppsen updates.

Submitted my answer to Peter. Tight puzzle, I thought.

A really fun puzzle! And, thankfully, the meta was a lot easier than "Half and Half."

Hmm, have enough to be confident I know the answer, but there's one thing I'm not seeing. I'll probably slap my forehead when I figure it out - as I did with my second to last thing.

The one I had so much trouble with was the first as I didn’t know anything about the Hebrew alphabet. I already knew what the answer had to be by then, but I couldn’t just leave that loose end hanging.

Looked for a Chin dynasty in China? - nope. Shinva, an Indian God? - nope. Googled anything else that looked like it could possibly be a word, but no.

Tried to convince myself that the thigh bone is next to the shin bone, but there’s that knee in between.

Finally thought of googling for numbers in other languages and found that shin is 300 in Hebrew, and “next” is tav at 400. Reading a bit further, I learned that Hebrew uses letters for numbers, found the alphabet, and saw shin, tav right in a row!

The middle four themers, I saw right away. I don’t want to discuss how long I tried to figure out what was next after an orang (yeti?) before I noticed the E to make it orange :)
