Off the couch (thanks Cap'n) and in desperate search of the leftover candy my wife must have hidden somewhere...

Quite the Halloween treat! We really had no clue yesterday and thought we might have to wait for nudges but Alex finally figured out the first step. It took awhile to get the next steps. Just a fun journey the whole way!

Nudge Wednesday

Let's see if we can get a few more Muggles off the couch.

Gee, there's really only one Halloween-related clue in the puzzle - right there in the center.

But wait, 6 other grid entries can have their own GHOST "encounters".

Those 6 GHOST encounters form other words/phrases that can be alternate answers to 6 other clues.

The first letters of the original answers to the 6 other clues spell the familiar Halloween figure.

Good luck! Please feel free to PM me if you need more help.

Fun puzzle! No nudges needed; I was just late getting to the MMM what with yesterday's MMMM.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Same - got it with nudge 2, but still got to enjoy a fun trek to the end. This type of metanism is still a bit of a blind spot for me…

Really nice one, Cap’n… Thanks!

Off the couch, but only with all 4 nudges, plus several more from @Cap'n Rick via PM, where I was basically taken by the hand and pulled off the sofa. For whatever reason, this one was completely beyond me.

Got it with the first 2 nudges. In retrospect, I had ALMOST grabbed the thread pre-nudge...
