It’s been a while, too long actually, but Evan has come up with another meta for the Sunday WaPo puzzle and it is a beauty. Extremely well done as always with a not difficult, but not a week one either, solution. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

This was a lot of fun. My 2 comments (no prize or deadline involved so just spoilering them): I've known of Delmer in 14A since seeing "Dark Passage" in a film noir class in about 1989, but all this time I could have sworn his last name was Dawes, so that was the immediate a-ha moment when I saw the band of that name did one of the songs.

I did not notice the method of getting the 2nd word, but having "Vampire" as the first made the 2nd word kind of obvious. But that's summkinda awesome meta construction to find those words/band names.

Also, the inelegance Evan pointed out in his writeup I initially took as being a super-elegance while I was in process of solving, until I figured out the minor oops.
