#4 on the board (which I think is identical to my WSJ placement this week - Bobby Orr would be proud).

Good news bad news for me this week. I finally got my 1-Across achievement!! But I realized I didn't solve the non-Week 5 puzzle on October 2nd and now I can't complete all the achievements for another year

Fun one, though just as scary is that we're 3/4 through this journey! I came late to the game so I'm intent on savoring this final quarter!

Was that 28A is only available in Sept, and Oct. news to anyone else?

Pretty sure I'm beamed. Easy but not trivial.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

As for the 3/4 through the journey, is MGWCC only going to 1000? I've never known anything about this finite number before...

Yes, he's explicitly said that the MGWCC is a 1000 puzzle series. Not sure when he announced that initially (probably before most of us started doing it!), but he's made occasional reference to it - see, e.g., puzzle 500, the solution to which was "Halfway There." So we've got 5 more years, give or take...

waiting for the official beam up.

But as usually I'm staring at the answer....not seeing it, bang my head again...not seeing it....walk away, and realize I utzed one part of it. cleared it up and now waiting for the beaming process.
