"Reaching Across the Aisle"

Post by Al Sisti »

Morning, Muggles, it’s been a while, hasn’t it! Truth be told, I’m happy to be in the queue at all, given the growing list of talented homegrown Muggle constructors.

This week’s meta is called “Reaching Across the Aisle,” and we’re looking for a theater personality. It’s about a week 2. Oh, and I actually joined the 21st century, as I’m finally doing the Crosshare thing. Please submit your answer on Crosshare, or PM me your solution by 10 PM on Saturday, and as has become the custom, I’ll post a couple snapshots of a leaderboard during the week. Feel free to PM me for nudges, but try to stick with it for a couple days first. If nothing else, there’s always Nudge Wednesday.

One correct solver will be chosen at random and will receive an item of his/her choice from my swag bag (a Blarney Rebel Band CD, a Utica Club keepsake, or a $15 donation to a charity of your choice).

Off the couch.

Just the right level of challenge for a Monday holiday. (Well, a holiday for me anyway)

Off the couch!

I’m thrilled to have an Al puzzle today. We’re similar of age, so I actually know the cultural references.

Thanks, Mr. Sisti!

I hate to be the one to ask but .... 13A? Is that a typo?
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

I'm couchless, that was ouchless! Thanks Al, good way to start the week. I hope all of the meta offerings are as palatable.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Nope. Flat-out mistake. Doesn't change anything though, but still...

I like the reference to 42D

But I have to say it is really weird to not have the slightest idea of what anyone else is talking about.
