" In Space No One Can Hear You Scream" by benchen71
Welcome to...
benchen71's Metas on a Tuesday (MOAT)
Can you storm the castle by getting across the MOAT? Noises in space movies/shows really annoy me. Pew pew! Kaboom! Bah humbug! Even a hard sci-fi show like "The Expanse" (which is absolutely excellent in every other respect and you should definitely watch it if you haven't already) falls afoul of this problem. So get stuck into this meta puzzle to find out: i) which show got it right, and ii) the answer to the meta which is a song title.
PM me with your submissions or submit on Crosshare. Either way, I'll compile a list of those who successfully solve the meta.

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

that was fun and breezy.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Crossed the moat!
I wanted to stay up to midnight to solve, but I nodded off over the laptop and realized I needed to crawl into bed instead.

This castle, moated as it is, ain’t in space, so the screaming of its occupants should already have announced its storming.

Crossed the moat about halfway through the grid, but stuck it out to finish it (albeit with a couple of google assists). Happy to have a chance to use some cricket knowledge at 16A.
Fun puzzle, thanks.

I've crossed the moat and I certainly hope I haven't offended anyone while doing so --

Crossed the MOAT in fine style this week. As an eclipse chaser over the years, I am quite familiar with 7D. In fact, my first and my most recent solar eclipse were in the same Saros series (#145), 54 years apart (3 cycles)!
