There's a new contest puzzle from Fill Me In. I'll rate this one 2.6 bananas on a scale of 5 bananas. (Bananas has nothing to do with the puzzle, it's just a 1-to-5 scale we made up.)

The puzzle is called "Color By Numbers" and was constructed by me (Brian Cimmet). The solution to the puzzle is the name of a music duo. We know that the last contest also had a music duo as the solution, but we assure you this is not any kind of trend nor is it a mega-meta, it's just the way it happened to work out.

The crossword can be downloaded from here. You're welcome to solve and talk about the puzzle -- but if you want to be eligible for a prize, you have to listen to the podcast for this week's password. The podcast can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, our own website, or wherever you collect your podcasts.

Nudged to a solution which I think is correct. But, man, there was no way I was going to infer that answer without more help in the grid!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta! :shock:

Got it, BUT … only with another Muggle’s generous help.

Cool puzzle, but I don’t think I would have gotten it on my own.
