1. Puzzle #29 recap

Puzzle #29 answer: 7-UP

Correct entries: 40

Image

There are 7 UPs in the grid, for the drink 7-Up. Nothing more to say, haha.

---

2. It's the middle of a month, which means it's time for a Level 3 meta. If you know me, that's already a hint.

30. I Thought We Were a Team!

The answer to the meta, 11 letters in 2 words, is an alternate title for the puzzle.

Good luck, and may all your solves be beautiful!

Mikey—What team is pictured? A few of the faces look familiar but I can’t place it.

Looks like Washington, 1913 - I just went with a random picture, haha. My knowledge doesn't go that deep...yet, anyway!

Solved! Fun puzzle as usual, Mikey. :D
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Hmmm.... don't see how I can be so close and not have it. Am I such a bad speller?
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

Solved and confirmed. Enjoyable solve once I settled down to take a look - trying to solve too many metas at once gets rather distracting.

Solved! Fun one.

I am still trying to suss out the fill in the southwest corner, though. I guess I don't know Cookie Monster language.

EDIT: I figured it out. I have never spelled it that way. Maybe I have never spelled it at all.

I had to look this up as well just to confirm!

Random Comment: I am still compiling the leaderboard, and you get "medals" for finishing in the Top Ten! I'll try to get an update for that for this upcoming Saturday Week 4 meta!!

Finally placed one of the players in the picture, Nick Altrock “The Clown Prince of Baseball” is far left.
