The Fourth of July
Ahoy Muggles!
Happy Fourth of July! I'm sure you all have big plans for celebrating today, so I'll be brief. No time-consuming "Natick" Googling required for this one. The difficulty should be as smooth as a "Mill Pond", so you can enjoy the holiday from your canoe or kayak. I'd like to thank @Abide, @Al Sisti, @boharr, @MarkWoychick, and @Joe Ross for their pretesting and technical help.
The meta answer is a one-word answer to a one-word question. (Note: Submit only the answer.)

Good luck!

Off the couch. Hope everyone's having a happy July 4th!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Off the coach but.... puzzled.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Wendy!!! It’s a holiday! It’s time to relax!
I’m off the couch, but may be under the couch tonight with the dog when the fireworks start.
