Onshore. Matt Gaffney took pity on us for holiday weekend. I’m not sure what Tim and I will do without the torture of not being able to work out the puzzle until well into Sunday, and often not even then. Thanks for hosting this week Wendy.

@lbray53 I have you on the beach. One of the fun things about keeping track of the ship and shore is the creative ways and stories of how muggles got where they are.

Good Saturday morning muggles. I hope everyone is having a great and safe July 4th weekend.

And my Verizon cable service is completely fixed thanks to Verizon's James on line and Brian doing the repair work. We all complain about bad service from the cable companies but they did a good job here

and thanks to @Wendy Walker for filling in for me while I was cable/phone/internetless

And remember that the WSJ will not be published on Monday so you won't get the hoped for email telling you that you have won the mug. However the contest closes at midnight on Sunday night EDT so any discussion will start on Monday am.

We have a bunch of new muggles this week - 848Rob, kurtalert, Matthew Schricker, Kenneth Friedman, Brian Matos, emerisle, Goms and DASouth who was our 1200th muggle. Welcome to everyone and great to have more muggles.

Isaac has been busy keeping the bars on shore stocked with ice, little umbrellas and most of all the requisite libations. We have 261 on the shore already - quickly approaching our record of 271 set in January with Mike Shank's meta You Don't Say
