I got it! Like @hcbirker, I had to google one thing.

And, what a lot of red herrings!

Dino me! 🦕
That was my first thought when I saw the title, but it took me until now to actually get it.

I could use a nudge. Got a lot of pieces, unsure of how they're supposed to go together.

I got out of the box on Sunday. There was one thing I needed to look up, but my internet was down, so I pulled the old dictionary (kids, ask your parents:) off the shelf and checked it there. So nice to be back in the fully online world now.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Very strong effort by the PanMan!

59A I got it! And learned a new one - i’ve been missing this all my life? A fun mechanism and the answer brought a nostalgic smile and a little ditty to mind.

Thanks for the fun!

Thanks, Will, for the heads up that today’s LA Times crossword was written by Emma Oxford, aka our very own @damefox! It was excellent!

Well the reveal is not out yet so I'll hold off on the DrT and the Rabbit hole story for this puzzle
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
