Beamed up pretty quickly. Now what am I supposed to do this weekend with WSJ and MGWCC solved in record time??
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

1) for the first time I was tempted to submit my answer without looking at a grid but I have too much of a streak going. And having done the grid now.... what the heck?????????? Can't back engineer nor can I see any other option.

2) So after wondering how on earth can anyone not be familiar with Pig Latin or with the answer to one of the other metas this week it's my turn to be ignorant.

58 A "The Pearl Fishers Duet"? Never heard of it. Quick google search says it is one of the most well-known and familiar pieces of western opera. Click on some clips. Never heard this before in my life. (Do you ever get the feeling life is a story and every now and then there are deliberate plot holes just to confound you?)
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

I’ve teleported successfully and am wondering who came up with the idea (on TOS) that you could run a starship with colorful toggle switches.

I thought it was a brilliant puzzle, not difficult but incredibly clever. Great job by Matt!

Aargh, that took me way too long, but finally lightning struck and I'm 100% sure of my answer.

Submitted and Ivory sure (99 and 44/100ths). Laughed a lot and initially didn't see it. Glad I did. I mean it is only a week two, but at the rate I've been going lately I'll will savor all wins. It had me chucking at the end though when I realized what was going on. I also learned something as I tried in vain to correct the entries around 41D to give me a reasonable word only to find that 41D was correct, I had just never heard of it.

T

How I imagine the crowd on the leaderboard for this puzzle will look (in the beautiful Galleria of Gaffney of course).
