Will has a quick variety cryptic out. The grid is on the easy side, with a bonus meta answer that was fun to figure out.

Very easy grid, but I am still trying to figure out the meta.
Update—have seen the light on the meta—very nice puzzle!

I peaked at the solution. I'm reluctant to say but I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of time on trying to figure out this meta. Too devilish for me.
