Grid gave me a headache, though I think I have done it with at least one clue (4D) something I never heard of. I see the first step, for sure, but the next step still eludes me.

So nice to see a Fireball contest. This one was fun. Not too hard, but not over-easy either. Fingers crossed for a muggle winning the prize package.

Likewise extinguished. Friday NYT grid, week 2 Gaffney meta. I definitely agree with the comment above that it's both easy to make a mistake on step two and easy to correct it.
The "State Farm Stadium" clue should definitely have ", on scoreboards" appended to the end of it. That really threw me off.

It's just that: "Underfunded" and "Short" are synonyms; terms for "doesn't have enough money"

It's just that: "Underfunded" and "Short" are synonyms; terms for "doesn't have enough money"
Just did a puzzle, and the clue was
“Singleton, for one: Abbr.”
Ha! Not gonna fool me again! Put SYN right in there. Thank you, Al!
