Delightful.

45D amused me. It does specify “solvers,” of which I’m not usually one.

100% no-doubter, and pretty close to a platonic ideal for a week 2 IMO. Waiting for the post-4:56 pm beam of light...

Oh hey...I went and made dinner while waiting for the update and never came back. #63...

Agree with the group. This was a fun week 2.

I had to stop and think about 65D for a minute! Time sometimes seems to be flying.

Beamed up. Grid last night while hanging with Isaac and quick meta solve this morning. Now, back to my Inner Turmoil.

Forgot to post yesterday, but in at #121 and my second 10 badge. Excellent week 2, in which I saw nothing until I saw everything.

I so rarely solve these that I never care what # I am when I do, only that I did.

This week, though, happened to notice I was 101, ahead of Wendy W. Now, I know she has 1,001 great reasons why.

But I’ll take it. Just saying. 😂

Awaiting transport but confident we have the solution. My wife saw the mechanism right away and has been dancing the jig since. After the killer WSJ this week, Mr. Gaffney is now redeemed in our eyes. Great fun, thanks! :D

I got a very late start on the puzzle last night but was beamed up soon after finishing the oversized grid.

So we see the peril of Matt’s delaying his puzzle… one of his clues was obsolete in less than 24 hours :o

I had to check the news to see which clue you might be referring to. Interesting timing!

Though... to be fair, the clue doesn't have an indicator of whether the fact has to be current. It would still apply even after the recent event.

Man... I had to wait a long time for the next update, biting my nails, to see whether I was successfully beamed up. (As if Matt doesn't have anything else to do! (See jpeg attached to his postponement email.))

Not sure why I was biting my nails. This one was a 100%-er.

Oh... Taxes. THAT'S why I was biting my nails. Back I go....

Beamed up. I thought I saw the mechanism when I solved online while traveling, but it was one of those where I wanted a printout to do the dirty work. Back home and working on paper, the circling and scribbling confirmed my initial idea. Very nice construction.
