*opens puzzle*

*figures out meta faster than ever before*

*rushes to submit solution*

"Congrats on 6th place!"

(But I'll take it, hahaha.)

Same story - opens puzzle... prints puzzle... walks down hall to get printed copy of puzzle... starts at 1 across instead of just looking at theme answers... gets to theme answers... submits in 4 minutes... Sorry, not in top 10.

Competitive bunch.

My laptop doesn't seem to be working, so had to jury rig a solution using my cell phone, iPad, and reMarkable tablet. Then had the answer quite quickly, but insisted on at least finishing a bunch of grid answers before committing. So beamed up at 65.

12:26 Probably the fastest I've ever submitted and at 63. But I hit the "49" mark -- one more to go to get my "50" streak.

Beamed!

More like a week .5

Maybe with 5 weeks he threw us a bone. Or is lulling us into a false sense of security.

Beamed. Grateful for something to do during this mind-numbing intro keynote that is making me question whether I overpaid for this free trip to Vegas to attend this meeting.

Oog. I chose to try doing down only with no instructions which meant finding a printer cable as it was only in pdf and .... wasted time in what could have been my fastest solve ever (.... except I never submit fast and would never submit without verifying I can't possibly be wrong so I'm never going to submit early... and I couldn't do down only anyway [I don't like making educated guesses-- I only like to know with surety.... so why would I even want' to do down only])

But.... this isn't really a meta is it? It's just a themed puzzle, right?
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Beam me up!

I tried Downs Only again, and this time I needed to google only twice, on 34d and 38d. I believe this is my best Downs Only for a Week 1 MGWCC yet. Was it easier this week? Or am I just getting gooooooooood?

Not even gonna pretend that I'll ever get that 1st solver achievement badge. I've got all the others! Anyway, safely beamed aboard at #115.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.
