Geez, I had to backsolve this one. Didn't feel Week 1 to me. But yes, very nice!

Took me a little while, especially for a week one, so I was getting nervous.

Fresh and fun. Very original (hence the extra time?). One of my favorites in a while.

I feel like I’m sitting on the starting block with the right direction but after staring at it last night and this morning I’d like to see if I can run my idea past someone before possibly wasting more time. Thx!

Edit: assistance received and meta achieved! Thanks guys!

I agree. Figured out the metanism right away, before really even starting the grid, frankly. (Some weeks you get it, some weeks you don't.) So it was just a matter of working it out, which was a ton of fun, though not nearly as obvious as the metanism. As @Wendy Walker mentioned, there were a lot of "other related and distracting stuff" along the way. But they just added to the fun.

Absolutely amazed at @MattGaffney's construction on this. How on earth....??? (Yes, pun intended.)

May I suggest having an ice-pack and some ibuprofen ready for after your forehead slap? You'll get it.

Beamed up at #274, with some assistance to keep the forward motion going.
Got a lot of bases covered here- with some fluid, a goose, spring bloomers, and especially the rabbit.
Nice one, Matt.

Def not a normal week 1, but not too tough for me. I was getting worried, but came back to it and a forehead slap. I’m sure beamed up.

As HunterX predicted, I now have a large bruise on my forehead (and another on my gluteus maximus where I kicked myself for noticing the way several times but not noticing the way. The obvious had to be pointed out to me I'm afraid.

Sometimes ya get the bear, other times the bear gets you...and this week I can barely stand it. But Submitted (though not confirmed) and confident.

EDIT: In at 323 - WOW, I love me a palindrome. Still I wish I could have gotten it yesterday cause I'd rather march forth than wait.

Well, are we breaking out the spring bloomers already? I thought I'd keep mine on for a while but we really don't need winter bloomers too long in Florida, the flannel makes us sweat.

Beamed up. Really cool puzzle. I thought it was harder than a typical week one, and I struggled a bit even after figuring out the mechanism.

Way to put a positive spin on things! I'm impressed.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

While yesterday would have you march forth, today it's a fifth. Too bad you're abstaining for Lent.
