I got a slightly late start, then needed some time for the puzzle to marinate in my mind before inspiration struck, and I'm on the leaderboard at #34. It's nice to have my weekend clear now.
I found this grid a bit harder than usual.

OK, I think I’m beamed up - will confirm when I know. Good puzzle but had a tough time seeing the meta. This is my first month doing this puzzle, and I am worried about what a true week 4 might be like!
Edit: I feel like Mel Brooks after he was beamed up in SpaceBalls - I will share where I went wrong after the deadline.

Beamed up (not confirmed, but I've no doubt). Patrick Berry is precise.
Best wishes to @MattGaffney for an immediate & full recovery!
It will be interesting to see the number of solvers. IMSO, a Week 3.5.

Gaffney said this was actually a 2.... But I'm just not seeing it. I assume it's because the obvious red herrings are doing their jobs and smelling too much.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Yeah, there do seem to be a few. I'd contend 2.5 at least on this one!

That one was definitely above my pay grade, so I’m pretty excited to be beamed up!

Beam me up! That one had me scratching my head for awhile, but finally figured it out.

I thought there was no 58Ding in crosswords. Crying in beer perhaps...

Submitted - didn’t seem like a stretch to get where I got, so I’d say I’m 95% confident.

If you see that I’ve completed the MGWCC meta, feel free to DM me and I’ll help you out - nudges, confirmations of paths, etc.

I've been made aware of an alternate answer. It's not mine to share, nor do I know if it was accepted. It looks great to me. Hope it's accepted!

You can debate whether this one was a Week #2 or Week #3. I'll take either over an impossible Week #4. Regardless, It was nicely constructed and a satisfying solve.

Well, I'll take an impossible Week 4 over an impossible Week 2, thank you very much.
For an impossible week 4 at least you have an excuse for not getting it. An impossible week 2 is just humiliating.
