Steve is an excellent cryptic constructor and his new variety cryptic is a lot of fun. It is a tad more challenging than many of his other puzzles (enumerations have been withheld). The instructions seem confusing at the start, or at least they did to me, but his meanings become clear pretty quickly. BTW, this is a Patreon subscription issue, but the cost is minimal and the quality of Steve’s work makes it a bargain.

I agree about the quality of Steve’s work. His puzzles are challenging but manageable, similar to C&R’s. The parsing of his clues may be a bit trickier than C&R but but in the same ballpark. I also agree that this one was on the harder side for him.
