Almost forgot to post and to submit my answer, but I’m on the shore.
Watching the last few holes of the Phoenix Open, then on to the Super Bowl.

Many millennials may know the term and the meaning, not because they actually saw the Happy Days episode that coined the term, but because they listen to Howard Stern. The man who coined the phrase (and its meaning), John Hein, has been a part of the Stern show for a number of years.

2. I'm going to watch the Puppy Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, there are only two seasons: 1. Baseball and 2. Waiting for Spring Training.
Sadly, may be waiting longer than usual this year…

OK, LISTEN UP, ON SHORE.
Fast solve this week.
A clever meta-like puzzle in the Sunday New York Times magazine this week. The puzzle-master (WS) gives away the mechanism, however, which could have been challenging.

When one of my fashion conscious friends seems to be ready to start making suggestions about my wardrobe and asks where I got that shirt, if I say, "Goodwill - the blue tags are half price on Tuesdays!" again an eye roll and we're over to more interesting stuff.
There are other options:

The Lambs win! (I mean the Rams). Old nickname from when they were here before St Louis.

Did the puzzle on-line this week as I am out of town and don’t have access to a printer. I finished the lower right-hand corner doing the downs so never saw the clue for the last across. Made it a tad more difficult.

OK since I stayed up with my wife to watch ice dancing finals I guess I will go ahead and post this

📥👂📤👂
I’m afraid that my recall’s so rotten
I’ve a head that is filled full of cotton
A solution appears
In the space ‘tween my ears
Then the answer is quickly forgotten

👂😁👂
But the widest of grins could occur
While you’re scanning this puzzle du jour
And you might feel a pang
Like when Barbara sang
At the start of The Waay We Were
Dedicated to no nonsense nonsense

Okay.... So... the answer is MEMORIES because..... people if things go in one ear and out the other have bad memories? ....Is that it?

And the title is LISTEN UP because.... that's what you say to people with bad memories?
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.
