When I posted this, I was hoping for some post-enlightenment, but didn't mention that fact because I was afraid I would jinx it! In fact, I am now ONSHORE. It took clearing my head with a good elliptical work-out, some encouragement from a fellow MUGgle (Thanks, Joe!), and feeding my growling tummy, but when I sat down to make one more attempt at solving the meta, I finally saw the light. WOW, just WOW. Best AHA moment ever!!

Yet another save by Sir Ernest!
Shackleton.png
I had the privilege of sharing this exact whisky with Sir Ernest himself on South Georgia Island. There is a whole story about the discovery and re-creation of the whisky. It's documented in a Nat Geo and PBS film.
I had the same privilege by that exact gravesite
We were at that gravesite--but no whiskey. Maybe that was one of the consequences of covid? Plus the museum was closed, so we couldn't see what I assume were some exhibits about Shackleton.

All of us take a chance when we come here of seeing a spoiler that someone has just posted. For most of us, it's a very small chance because our moderators quickly deal with it, and they do that at risk to their own aha moment since they're guaranteed to see all spoilers. So sorry that happened to you this week. Thank you for taking care of it so it didn't happen to many others.

I'll stick to coffee, for medicinal purposes, but black, as I don't deserve better.

Fine.

Alee.
I agree wholeheartedly. Thank you all so much!

another interesting challenge from Mike Shenk. To some it came easily and to others it was and still is a challenge. For those still on the ship, this is very solvable so keep at it.

did you really read through all 159 names to see if I missed you?

Good luck winning the mug and stay safe
Hey, Bob! I think you got me.

Thank you.
Nope, hit CTL+F. Good thing I didn't find my name since I never told you that I haven't solve and I have no idea and, as has been usual for me lately, feeling really dumb seeing how many never even had a chance to get on the boat. I'm hoping this has nothing to do with any of the topics I know absolutely nothing about (it's a long list but basically music, tv, sports...and a lot of other stuff :D )

I'm so close. Figured out the trick. Can't figure out the eleven letters and it's killing me. Sigh. I hate getting so close and not being able to complete it!!!

@BobDylan Me too. Right now, literally at the eleventh hour decided to give it another go and I see the "aha", but what do I do with it? This is even more frustrating than before. If I didn't feel the pressure of the clock ticking, I might just sit back, relax and let it come to me.

@BobDylan I hope you didn't give up. It is pretty straightforward. Just relax; forget about the time and follow through slowly. I'm rooting for you.

Very elegant, but a bear to make I'll bet. Nice job Mike (and lovely graphic Joe)
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

I guess I never got the continuous chain part of it, but the anagram of the beginning letters was fairly clear.

Glad to hear there was some order to the answer - I was a little perplexed by that part!
