"Bottoms Up!"
Good morning Muggles, and Happy New Year!
This week’s meta is called “Bottoms Up!” As for a rating, I think it’s around a Week 3. Please PM me your solution by 10 PM on Saturday, and as has become the custom, I’ll post a couple snapshots of a leaderboard during the week. Feel free to PM me for nudges, but try to stick with it for a couple days first. If nothing else, there’s always Nudge Wednesday.
One correct solver will be chosen at random and will receive an item of his/her choice from my swag bag (a Blarney Rebel Band CD, a Utica Club keepsake, or a $15 donation to a charity of your choice).

I finally had a chance to get at a MMM early. I had to work a bit, Great meta!

Um... the title? Isn't that.... oh, never mind.
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

Wait = when I saw the title and it was by Al, I figured we should be looking for a strip joint in The Man With The Golden GunAl Sisti wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 8:58 am Good morning Muggles, and Happy New Year!

I’ve submitted. That was an interesting path to the answer! Thanks Al. I’ve hopefully departed the davenport.

Well, apparently I came up with a fairly decent "alternative" answer --
So? I'll return and look some more for the actual one once I've recovered a bit....

Curious about the intended one -- but now I've got tunnel vision! (And it's a year to watch!)

Well, submitted after a clarification and a chuckle at what I ended up with. I'll see if I manage to make it off the couch.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Couchless!
Though perhaps with the alternative answer. We’ll see.
UPDATE: I do NOT yet have the intended answer. So … back to work!
UPDATE UPDATE: Now I got it. Good one, Al!
I was hoping to brag that 11d went to my high school, 16 or 17 years before me — because the neighborhood kids consistently claimed this — but the puzzle inspired me to do further research, which revealed “Jaws” was merely born and spent some formative years in the area of Lee M. Thurston High School. His family had moved to California before his teens. Alas.

Off the couch. Ingenious puzzle. Well done, Al.
Edit: Turns out I was not off the couch after all. Apparently, I am close to being off the couch, maybe just one step away, but not technically on my feet as yet. Now that the fantasy I thought I was living in has evaporated in a puff of DMs and reality has set in, I have absolutely no idea what to do to actually stand up! If the nudges don't help, I think I will be couch-bound for the week.

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!
