Given that Matt's puzzle will be moved until tomorrow I don't have much hope for getting that Christmas Day achievement trophy this year. Don't think the family would appreciate seeing grandpa hunched over a puzzle during the festivities. Wishing everyone a happy, regardless!

Tata, 2021 :christmas_tree: :shield: I leave for the land of no-wi-fi relatives right around the rescheduled drop time.

LOL like I had much of a chance to win it anyway. Looking on the bright side, at least now I have an excuse for not winning that badge this year.

Hmm... Maybe I can print out a few copies to take up with me. New post-Christmas-dinner fun activity: crash course intro to metas! I'm sure that will be a big hit with the family

For this year only we're going to allow submissions on boxing day to count toward the achievement. Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!

Very nice puzzle, worth the wait. Delay in timing worked well for my schedule, actually. And 3 on the board behind Erik Agard and Jangler. That is some elite company for sure!

Another impressive construction. The first thing I tried worked, but I’m not complaining.

Pretty sure I've beamed up. That was amazing! I'll probably be around #50, could have done better but I wanted to sleep in :-)

Edit: #48, right after @Abide (like this comment)!

Beamed up! Submitted at 12:00 AM 12-27-21 for the Holly Jolly Crossword Image badge.

In at #99. Nice puzzle!

(I'm not sure waiting until Monday was necessary for the badge, but it didn't hurt!)

Excellent indeed! And I could use the answer word, too, which I’m sure I’ve used to describe Gaffney puzzles in the past as well. Submitted and waiting for the update, but no doubt. Beam me up.

Woohoo! Got it without any help!

Agree that the word describes how I often feel about Matt's work.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Upwardly beamed!

Personally thankful for the MGWCC delay this weekend. Just now getting to relax — with puzzles! — after holiday travels.

Thanks, Matt, for going relatively easy on us!
