Edit: officially beamed aboard at #68

Feels great to have a friendlier Week 5. Just had to keep staring at this one.

Beam me up! Unlike Joe, it took me a while to find Step 2 after I found Step 1. Overall a really fun solve!

Probably helps that this is week 4. (Yeah, last week felt like 4+)

The first step’s click was indeed a fun AHA, but I am still waiting on the revelation of step two! Grandkids are fabulous, but they just don’t get that Nana needs some quiet, to think deep meta thoughts!!

UPDATE: got it! On the board, pretty far down, but there! Thanks to Maine Marge for a gentle nudge in a direction I had tried before but hadn’t gone far enough. Finishing was truly entertaining and enjoyable — the kind of mechanism I love most, provoking a series of “oh!”s and smiles.

This one has me at solve #49, thanks to the reasonableness of Mr. G last week, so one more solve to the coveted *50* symbol… then just a year of struggle to that truly amazing **100** that several of you clever muggles have achieved! I was one of those who last week used THAT THING YOU DO…. I thought “THAT BIG SPLASH THING YOU DO” was a perfectly good answer that checked all the boxes, and Matt agreed! (THATTHINGYOUDO even has the final letter and the one 3 spaces before that letter matching, coincidentally.).

Beam me up, whoever is beaming these days!

Clearly I have the first step, but my usual tricks -- or should I say, Matt's usual tricks -- aren't working for step 2. A nudge would be appreciated so I can concentrate on today's football games.

Took me longer than I would like to admit, but very happy to have a solo solve on a week 4 for the first time in a bit. ☺️

Sooooo maddening! I was sniffing all around the second step, had even considered a similar mechanism but didn't quite stick the landing. A slight nudge from a friendly muggle, followed by a resounding head-slap and I am requesting a transporter spot.

Very nicely done, and in its own way seasonal. Santa's in town, I saw him on the float - so let the celebrating begin!

Oh, and although I am asking to beam up I have good reason to believe that Santa should not!!!

EDIT: Confirmed - YAY and also saw that I got credit for my answer to last week's as well, even if it was not EXACTLY what the Creator wanted, so DOUBLE YAY!!
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

That was fun. My ghostsolver did the heavy lifting and I was just along for the ride.

Note to those who say that this puzzle is "fun." It's fun only if you solve it. I haven't -- haven't solved it and haven't had fun. Yet.
