Crosshare confirms that I am out of the box and free to ride a dino.
Fun and clever puzzle. Thanks, Will.

Solved, but only after really struggling with Crosshare over the form of the answer. Unless I am missing something, the same answer with an inconsequential difference was considered wrong in one case and right in the other.
Update-I told Will and he has corrected the issue. Good job Will!

Crosshare confirmed, but I was not on Will's wavelength today. That happens sometimes, which is why it’s good to have friends.

Solved - second time was the charm. My first thought was WAY off base. However reading through I thought of something and sure enough that was it.
Great puzzle Will, nice start to the week (I begin on Sundays to get the pain started on a day I know I won't curse as much) and not any expletives needed.
In keeping with the posting of dinosaurs I'll put up this:
Come on, you all know me, you had to expect something corny!

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Enjoying these DOABLE puzzles, after the frighteningly challenging weekend batch. I’ve lost track of which metaphor goes to which puzzle, so I’ll just say SOLVED!
The other Wendy.

Nope. I didn't get this one. I had to reveal the answer on Crosshare and then back solve. I can see what I missed, but it's interesting that what some think are doable I found impenetrable!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Dino, but mostly because someone on the Zoom call last night let the cat out of the bag. I'm not going to name names, or as an acrostician might say, Don't reveal the old man.

Nope. Even giving up and attempting to back solve, this is not doable. At least not to me. Certainly harder than any of the contests in the last nine months including the Trick or Treat.
I've given up and checked the answer. If someone wants to PM and explain it, I'd appreciate it. I see nothing.

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

At the time I considered it a poor nudge, but immediately after the call I sat down and bingo! There it was.Bird Lives wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 10:20 am Dino, but mostly because someone on the Zoom call last night let the cat out of the bag. Good luck, fellow Muggles!
