Woof! I accepted my fate of not winning a WSJ mug, despite there being only 243 solvers... but missing out here, with two chances to win out of 8 solvers?

Darn! This is the kind of mechanism that I get such a kick out of so I'm sorry I didn't see it. I did get WIGS, but after needing google for much of the grid (I don't follow music very much - "gasp!") I was a bit despairing of getting the answer, and let things slide. Turns out that I have heard of the B-52s of course, and probably even know some of their music without knowing that I know it.
It was a such a fun Aha even just reading the solution, so thanks, Ricky!

Late to the treat bucket but really liked this one. Imagine, a solvable meta!
