A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

Yea sorry I keep forgetting that puz files can't handle two letter entries since it just makes no sense to me.
I downloaded the .puz file and opened it on my PC. No problem except that I still haven't solved the meta.

Cat's out. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. .puz in across lite gave me a bit of trouble though.

AlphaCross on Android also can't deal with certain 2 letter entries especially near the bottom of the puzzle. Now I'll have to print it and fill it in with gasp pen.
It kinda slows you down in getting to the meta when you count to 18 on your fingers while reciting the alphabet and come up with S. And I must have made another error in the fill. Nevertheless, cat's out.
Great idea for a puzzle. I always admire puzzles when there's an AHA for the way the answer ties in with the mechanism and the title.
Well, I understood the first two nudges but nudge 3? ..... No idea what it can refer to.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

How on earth would I have ended up with a six-letter name?
Unless that famous frontiersmen was born after world war II and was a rude alcoholic while promoting a strictly binary way of thinking, all googling gives is "List of word...."
