This week’s meta is called “Leap of Faith.” As for a rating, I think it’s around a Week 2.5. Please PM me your solution by 10 PM on Saturday, and as has become the custom, I’ll post a couple snapshots of a leaderboard during the week. Feel free to PM me for nudges, but try to stick with it for a couple days first. If nothing else, there’s always Nudge Wednesday.

Well, I'm stuck.... Am I going to be one of thus irritating people who gets nasty and picks nits just to feel better about themselves?

I'm not... this is clever puzzle and I appreciate it. I think I've got the hard part but not the easy part. I'm going to work on it. Thank you for giving me something so stimulating to ponder in my spare time.A "cosmic burst" usually refers to a sudden flux of gamma, radio or other rays. The Pleiades is a tight (and very stable) star cluster. .... Sheesh.... every body but me is sooooooo dumb......
