Done and done. I'm reasonably confident in my answer, but have nagging doubts.
This is a blast from the past when I went to a Society for American Baseball Research meeting in Chicago three years ago, and had dinner with our daughters afterward. Before dinner, we went to a place called the Catcade, where people pay to hang out with cats.

Wow. I never heard of this place, but the interwebs tell me they are still active. I may have to load up on antihistamines one day and wander over.Scott Lindholm wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 8:35 pm Done and done. I'm reasonably confident in my answer, but have nagging doubts.

I know that auee89 knows, and I'm pretty sure that Bob, as an RPI grad knows (my son loved RPI), but does anyone else know what "RPN" stands for?
Hint: it's not a typo for "RPI"

Ashore after returning home at 3AM from my lengthy travels. Still jet lagging, but feel certain about my answer. Really glad to be able to solve on paper again.
Unfortunately I was stuck on a plane on an ORD airport tarmac waiting out an electrical storm during the Friday gathering. Is there a recording posted?

Reverse Polish Notation. Be careful asking people about this; you may trigger an hour long explanation about why it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. People who love it feel strongly about it and just don’t get why most of the world never got on board.

Confession: I am one of those people. RPN is indeed far superior to ‘standard’ calculators - I just bored my teenager at dinner the other night extolling its virtues.BarbaraK wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 8:01 amReverse Polish Notation. Yes, it is.
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.
