Oh, a skewer between two bishops

Explanation (masked if you want to work it out first): RR (right reverend) appears in British cryptics for Bishop, so OHA skewers (or is placed between) B and RR.
Huzzah to the cryptic mavens!

Some maven....found 18 others before I found my own.
Trying to solve the complete list, but there are more names then have been identified in the thread if I count correctly.

Well, pretty easy after the spoiler(s). I was focused on most of the right stuff, but not for the right reason. I won't count this as a solve, but liked it a lot. Well done.

LOL I figured out a few of the cryptic leaderboard entries but I'm going to need a nudge to find myself.

I’m pretty new to cryptics, but I’ve had fun trying some of the easier ones.

I first thought I must be “In book, a cab’s run over” because of the bk, but I couldn’t make sense of the middle part. Eventually figured out that that’s because I’m actually “Two locals and a King”

Thanks for the bonus puzzle!

I believe it involves a reversal.
My thought: Go on about weight

"approve victory" would have been too easy?
  • back to data mining orange juice
  • hot rod prowler chatterer

Gosh I now know why I don’t do cryptics. I know I solved but sure don’t know where I am.

So, would Joe Ross be coffee supreme?
I guess I could be half a drum medic….

By the way (and I thought I posted this last night but apparently didn’t) Josh took all the blame for the “inelegance” but it certainly was as much my fault as his. I should have caught it but was getting packed for my trip.

It is unfortunately all too easy to get lost in the editing process he said, ULTRA easy!!!!

And then he realized he had posted about MEOW in MMM duh…..

This was a Leviathan Loveseat for me. I needed every SPOILER. I got derailed early noticing six peculiar connections between clues and entries and could not let it go. One example:

27D clue starts with Ali and 70A entry is ALIE. 1D clue starts with Ad and 7D entry is ADA. There are four others in the common six theme number.

At this point I don’t think this is a spoiler of any sort.

Great construction in the real meta.

Oh, yes! I've come close a few times -- especially when madhatter's got two going on at once!

I think I know who I am, but I hope you also put out a reveal on Sunday, @RPardoe ! :D

Fun! Solved with much pushing and pulling me away from what I thought was a certain path. I certainly did not spring off of the couch - more like dragged off kicking and screaming.

I am down to 9 "mystery names" that I can't parse.
But from the word search and this thread have 5 names to find.
Happy to post the reveal on Sunday.
(Then Josh can point out any errors I made. :P :D )

Sorry Tom, I had your cryptic all ready and then somehow never copied it over. Pretty ironic but I guess we're even now ;)

All for the better I guess, the best I could think of was "Drive to mass" which does not do you justice
