Nice puzzle Josh, and so one I could actually solve.

My friend, Dianne is flying to France tomorrow. If you happen to see her, tell her I said "Hello!!" Hope you are having a great trip and return home safely.

The answer should be Josh is a genius, but it’s not. He is.

The central grid entry is, ah... central to the meta.

The central grid entry also relates to the puzzle's title.

Notice anything odd about the grid entries related to the central entry and title?

Suspecting where I think folks might get stuck, may I be so bold as to add:

If you run out of room trying to solve, look outside the box

Blatant spoiler, so a nested spoiler to prevent an accidental reveal: If not in the grid, look to the clues.

I agree. I couldn’t really think of a great way off the top of my head so I’m glad you added that!

Even with these blatant spoilers I'm still completely at sea!!! When the spoilers are too cryptic, I must need another coffee...

(This is clearly punishment for my current MOAT (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1179) which I am quite surprised to say no one has solved yet.)

Oh, a skewer between two bishops

Explanation (masked if you want to work it out first): RR (right reverend) appears in British cryptics for Bishop, so OHA skewers (or is placed between) B and RR.
