Mike's Marching Bands puzzle is now available. I will work on this in the morning with my coffee after struggling tonight with his Crossword Contest puzzle.

Thanks for this posting/reminder!
I, on the other hand -- also struggling with WSJ -- am going to stop and try this on the very off chance that Mike has deviously slipped a nudge in regarding "Starting Positions"!
About an hour later:
Well, I got the Marching Bands but no clues for his other puzzle -- I guess I knew it would be "Very small, as chances" go!
