Off the Couch. Should have seen it yesterday, but I misread one of the clues.

Got it. But I *way* overthought it.

I'm relatively new to MMM so I was beginning to think after the last two that they were very meta-meta (two weeks ago it was based solely on previous Metas and last week we had to apply a mechanism to itself) so I was thinking this would probably have injokes I might not know yet or other intricacies.

Oh, very tough grid.

OTC. Fun one. A difficult (but do-able) grid fill, with lots of great clues!

Time to update the tally board! 42 running around off the couch, many semi-cursing the Grid and "crunchy" clues. Still, there has been no angry mob at the door yet so I'm safe - for now. Next time I'll try for an easier Grid but an ULTRA tough meta
