Aries Cryptic #32 Meta

This is a very nice (and free) cryptic. I have the grid, but no grasp of the meta.

Thanks, Meg. Fun one. Had the answer before finishing the grid & finally parsing some of the trickier clues.

Completed this one - nice! Now back to attempts on WSJ and MGWCC, both currently very stuck in the mud...
