An interesting challenge by Mr. Shenk which has come easy for some and challenging for others. We have 13 on the ship with Isaac and 126 on the shore.

And we have a gaggle of new muggles - jdp, benchen71, hedswen, and sfed. Always great to have more muggles as we are closing in on the round number of 1,000.

Let me know if I missed anyone because this week I was a bit kerfuffled (using my wife's Troy NY definition).

And I was late for yesterday's posting because I was kayaking and saw this handsome gentleman

I think you missed me, unless I too am kerfuffled. Thanks!

I'm not setting a good example by asking for a nudge, but instead of two for one I'm 0 for 5. (If all else fails maybe on board two for one happy hour will start soon now that the boat is emptying out.

Thanks in advance!

Another nice benefit of these metas is, if life hadn’t taught us humility yet, this sure will!

Just finished part 3 of the great meta course!

Tell me about it. My smarty pants cat finished the meta on Friday again and refuses to so much as give me a nudge until Sunday.

Well THAT took a LOT longer than it should. It was indeed a "can't see it, can't see it, can't see it - hey look at that it seems that is something, oh look there it is again - hey wait a minute!"

So, ashore on my own for a change (I did need confirmation because there is an unintended herring I am sure). I got the MGWCC with a nudge over the finish line so I am OK for the week. Now I just have to go back and do Josh's puzzle that will require several hours and a research assistant.

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

ASHORE!
I have never been so distracted by so many rabbit holes!
I needed boharr’s help to get started.
Thanks to boharr once again.

Well I knew going in this would be a tough week with son at camp. So I struggled with the grid. (Google is a poor substitute!). Now I’ve got nothing on the meta. I think I’ll enjoy the weekend with Isaac but still thinking about it incessantly. Enjoy everyone!

Bob cruise director wrote: Fri Jul 23, 2021 2:09 pm ... I still am in awe about first how Matt and Mike come up with an idea for a meta and then execute it in an elegant and interesting way. This one, although not terribly difficult for most was a three highlighter color meta.
Ditto on your compliments to Matt and Mike and their seemingly endless output of creativity and challenges!

As for me, it was a seven highlighter meta! 😂😂😂

Took it easy this weekend and didn't get to finding the meta til today. It feels good to be ashore, especially so with a MaiTai in hand. Satisfying puzzle, gathered a few insights while solving the grid.

Reach out with a PM if you still need nudges.
