Turning back to this one for my weekend project. Streaks of 30 on WSJ and 12 on MGWCC, but pgw keeps me humble. I fear this one falls into the 25% or so of pgw metas that I have no chance of getting.

Wow. I was never going to get this because I don't speak enough French for a meta solve. But my wild guess answer (that I didn't send in) was HORNS. I saw CORNERS in the middle, with IGNORERS right above it. I read that as "Ignore RS", which turns CORNERS into CORNE. I DO speak Google, however, which told me CORNE is French for horn. Not sure if that was meant to be a clue, but it's a pretty weird coincidence if it's not.
