On shore! I was distracted by a small red herring on my way to the beach that may have been put in there intentionally. It would be a mildly interesting coincidence if not.
Matt said on Tuesday (and has said before in other venues) that he never intentionally includes red herrings, because enough of them sneak in on their own (as happened with last week's MGWCC puzzle ).
