Off the couch, but needed a kick in the head to point out that I had the answer, just didn't see it.

I believe I’m off the sofa - but this one was tough for someone lacking in a certain area of knowledge!

It's not very PC, so I won't specify, but I found the intersection of two grid answers quite amusing.

Off the couch, thanks to Jay's help. I needed a little instruction about definitions. Great puzzle!

Pretty sure I know which entries you are referring to. We should all keep abreast of new developments in crosswords.cbarbee002 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 10:11 pm It's not very PC, so I won't specify, but I found the intersection of two grid answers quite amusing.

The inclusion of those two was unintentional, but once I had the grid complete, I clued one of them something along the lines of what you have in mind. But hey, MMM is a class operation -- clues with Robert Frost and Dostoyevsky -- so it wound up on the cutting room floor.cbarbee002 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 10:11 pm It's not very PC, so I won't specify, but I found the intersection of two grid answers quite amusing.

Pretty sure I have the answer, but not too pretty how I got there --
@Wendy Walker, tell Bautista's we've got another job for them...

Thank goodness that conjunction was close to the beginning of the grid so I didn't waste any more time tracking down what you-all were talking about! (Which, of course, I HAD to do as soon as I read Chris's post.)
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

My couch, along with my second bedroom, home office, and a bunch of other stuff is in storage while we fix some issues with our condo... truer words have never been spoken.Wendy Walker wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 11:22 am Off the couch! Figuratively; you don't realize how much a part of life the living room couch is until it's away for a facelift.

Great meta. Off the couch but expect confirmation
I have a special song for tonight that will bring a smile to the over 70 crowd if everyone has finished the meta.

Last week’s meta for me was a dud,
the clues were -alas- clear as mud,
this week, different story,
I bask in the glory
I’m now off the couch with a thud!

Off the couch with confirmation.
Very clever puzzle and meta, as always with the wonderful crew of MMM creators. Thanks!
Haven't been able to get to the last three due to vacation and then post-vacation workflow, but have assiduously avoided those forums and am looking forward to those solve attempts.

I'm off the couch. Thanks, Bird!
I try not to nitpick, but my inner bio-nerd is insisting that I point out that in 67A, 23andMe is a reference to humans 23 chromosome pairs. There are many more 67As.
