The inclusion of those two was unintentional, but once I had the grid complete, I clued one of them something along the lines of what you have in mind. But hey, MMM is a class operation -- clues with Robert Frost and Dostoyevsky -- so it wound up on the cutting room floor.

Thank goodness that conjunction was close to the beginning of the grid so I didn't waste any more time tracking down what you-all were talking about! (Which, of course, I HAD to do as soon as I read Chris's post.)

I try not to nitpick, but my inner bio-nerd is insisting that I point out that in 67A, 23andMe is a reference to humans 23 chromosome pairs. There are many more 67As.
