One might think so...but alas.
Figured it out, and also figured out who may have an unfair advantage!

Done. Succeeded at making that harder than it ought to have been.

Just finished the grid, tougher than usual. I’ll have a rum punch Isaac.

Ashore! I thought the grid was a little harder than usual, given that the long theme entries were not exactly common phrases, but … it all worked out … and then I spent an inordinate amount of time swimming in circles before seeing the path to the solution.

Ashore! This was pretty far from my wheelhouse, it took me a long time and much Googling to get all of the right pieces.

Oof. I see the mechanism but my mental tires are stuck in the mud. Going to be banging my head against this one for a while...

EDIT: Got it. Toughest one in a while!

On shore!
Had a very good start, followed a rabbit hole briefly then saw the lighthouse leading me to shore! Good one!! Think I’ll have a glass of Port!

Found step one readily (with googling). Now three-deep in IPAs so perhaps not much more progress tonight. :-/

Got a late start due to having to make an early dinner - Grilled salmon with blueberry sauce (berries are coming in like crazy), along with grilled corn and a fresh salad with all ingredients harvested from the garden. Delicious if I say so myself, and well worth missing out on Page 1.

Grid was tough, finding all elements of step 1 took a while, confirming elements of step 2 also took some time, then the wheels spun for a while before seeing the path to completing things from there. But finally on shore with a Bulleit on a rock. And that beats sailing into a rock.

I’ve sailed to muggle shore city. Misread one buoy on the route, but quickly got back on the proper path.

On shore. Started out fine but then got tied up in weeds. Have to remember to wait for the launch. It's so much easier. Exhausted and need a brandy.
