Done and done! Joining the other travelers, I am submitting from Cape Town, where I should be sleeping right now.

Ashore!

Though will the sun ever find us? On a brief anniversary trip to coastal California, Lynne and I had marine-layer clouds for five straight days, then humid gloom on a brief visit with our older son in Tennessee, and now chilly, drizzly gloom back here in Michigan. This is NOT summer!

And to double the fun, my only daughter is his twin sister - so happy birthday to Dom and Emmy! I have completed the grid but I am at work and haven't tried to crack the meta. I will try to take advantage of his inability to attend to the meta while traveling to beat him to shore.
I grew up in Malvern! Used to bicycle through the grounds of the Retreat House.
I live in Malvern now. Been to the retreat house many times.

On shore for the second week in a row :D The grid was easy, and I guessed right away what the meta would involve, but somehow it still took a while for my eyes to find what they were looking for and get the answer.

On Shore. Loved the construction.

Gave blood today so no nothing from the bar. Will make up for it tomorrow.

Made it to shore in record time, for me (thanks to my wife's astute observation), but that does not diminish how clever the puzzle is. Well done, Mike!

Solved. Stared at it so long as I was ready to become a vegetarian. Once I saw it, I could not believe how long it took me. One thing led me on a long wild goose chase.

On the beach with all my old friends - looks like a lot of new ones too. In case I've had too many margaritas by Father's Day to express this clearly, I'll say it now: Happy Father's Day to all you puzzling papas, including Matt and Mike!

ps. For all you that monitor the leaderboard, I'm not going to be home when the MGWCC drops today so I'm putting my excuse in for that now, as well. The excuse why I'm not in my usual top three spot. <guffaw>

Safely ashore... I'm told it's too early for a Guinness, but I highly recommend an Irish Bloody Mary: https://www.guinness.com/en-us/recipes- ... oody-mary/

Finally ashore ... and, per usual, swimming in Al's wake. Have a great weekend, all!

I’m in Montreal, visiting my daughter. Great food! I have the first part of this, so I’ve at least jumped off the boat.

Solved! But not before I got my menus planned for the coming week with all these possible verbs enroute to the correct method.
Mega meta kudos, Mike.

I would like to buy for Richard until the deadline & encourage others to donate. There is always a critical need.
