It's the opposite for me. I just get more frustrated - "why can't I see it then" - which doesn't help me solve anything. Time to step away for a bit (which is easy since I'm at work).

Ooog... Never!! Seeing everyone has gotten it just frustrates the heck out of me.

And it *doesn't* help because it means any intricate creative clever solution I might seek are certainly not going to work. I have a much better time when I see it's difficult because that means it will involve deep chewing. You can always chew more, but it's dang near impossible to chew less. But apparently that is what I'll have to do. Damn.

Edit: Okay, got it. I wouldn't have predicted this would have been seen as easy, though. But... apparently it was. (Which is not to say I thought it was hard. Just had to look in a way that isn't grab you by the lapels omigod that was obvious way.)

I'll have a "Turn-The-Clock-To-EightPM-so-evening-rates-apply-and-I-can-turn-on-the-Damned-air-conditioner". What? You never heard of it? Well, use your imagination and make it up. So long as it has lots of ice and plenty of mixer it'll be good. Ice... lemonades always a nice mixer, and, I guess vodka, and mint is a nice garnish. Something to make it distinguishable. Okay, tonic. So vodka, tonic, a crushed sprig of mint, a splash of lemonade and lots of ice. That's a Turn-The-Clock-To-EightPM-so-evening-rates-apply-and-I-can-turn-on-the-Damned-air-conditioner. I'll have one of those.

Ashore. Didn't solve it while walking the dog but while listening to an endless tech requirements call. Celebrating by watching for the nth time The "dude" Big Lebowski and drinking some double IPA. Darth, where art thou?

On shore. As quick as they come for this guy- saw it immediately upon completing the puzzle. A relief after the agony I foolishly put myself through last week being a total moron.

We got this by the unusual method of saying "here is a really dumb idea that can't possibly be... right... or wait... is that...a solution????

Not my favorite method of solving, but hey, we will take it.

Solved and ashore! Participation was hampered by coast-to-coast travel, but I got home both literally and figuratively with the puzzle.
