I can’t imagine it’s anything but what I got, but that’s what the zoom call is for…
If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

After staring at the grid off and on all day, this evening the clouds parted and I saw the pathway to safe harbor on shore.

Currently at sea. Not sure I did the grid right; MATTGAFFNEY doesn't fit in 48 down... (Joking)

Sitting with Isaac. Not really seeing much of anything and probably overthinking it, as usual! Hoping for post-enlightenment!

UPDATE: 🏝ON SHORE🏝.
Yes! I got it! Post-enlightenment!

I have an answer that meets the requirement and works with the mechanism but feels like it is missing the typical click and confirmation. I will sit on this for a bit before submitting.

Ashore. I love it when you solve a puzzle when you are nowhere near it!

REMINDER: Please join us for our weekly Friday Zoom get together today at 4:30 Eastern time. We will offer gentle guidance for those who need help on this week's WSJ meta. And, for those participants who have already solved, we are able to witness the joy of watching the "AHA" moment of friends, as well as discuss any other "muggle matters."

All are welcome! Click on the Muggle Zoom Room tab at the top of the page to join.
Don & Cynthia

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Alright!

Very satisfying solve --got the idea early but then took a bit of thinking and another two pennies to drop to get what I was pretty sure was correct. Wasn't 100% sure...and then --clickety clack-- and a deep groan of admiration for the creator and relief that my question was actually my answer. And the email to the WSJ sent along with my most craven cravings for the elusive mug.

Three in a row? Four in a row? Just glad that they are fun and usually solvable!!

I feel rather like Jack Torrance at the Overlook hotel: ready for a strong one after a good solve and a hellacious week!!

"Isaac!! Send Lloyd over, willya??"

Finally ashore with a small nudge from a helpful Muggle. Don't think I would've gotten it without the nudge. But, I shall take a nice cold beer, Mr. Cabana Boy.
